Introduction
Thermaltake is known for its clever packaging, subtle stylishness of its products and great performer in (quit) cooling products.
Thermaltake provided its new ToughPower QFan line of power supply units at World Cyber Games 2008 and I connected it to our enthusiast-level gaming rig to share the results of our testing in this review. |

Much like other companies out there with a special edition card, the Sparkle Calibre series is slightly more expensive but you'll receive a pretty nifty extra. In the case of the GeForce 8800 GTX / GTS they are offering you an overclocked model armed with nothing less than a peltier cooler.
.jpg)
Yes correct, using peltier cooling is somewhat controversial and there are definitely some positives and negatives about this cooling method.
Sparkle GeForce 8800 GTX requires a minimum 500W or greater system power supply (with 12V current rating of 30A). GeForce 8800 GTS requires a minimum 450W or greater system power supply (with 12V current rating of 26A). The peltier cooling adds another 50W to these requirements.
The Peltier effect is the reverse of creating a heat difference from an electric voltage.
It occurs when a current is passed through two dissimilar metals or semiconductors that are connected to each other at two Peltier junctions. The current drives a transfer of heat from one junction to the other: one junction cools off while the other heats up; as a result, the effect is used for thermoelectric cooling.

The reference model GeForce 8800 runs at 500 MHz and it's memory at 1600 MHz. The P880 OC GTS model is clocked at 560 MHz and it's memory at 1720 MHz and the P880+ OC GTX model screams at 630 MHz and 1960 MHz respectively, so they are pre-clocked as well. |

As you may already know, Thermaltake carries several different water-cooling solutions. They have cases with built-in water-cooling solutions, like Kandalf, Armor and Tai-Chi and external solutions like Symphony and Rocket, that are really big, or Tribe, which is smaller.
Thermaltake is marketleader in pre-assembled, “all-in-one”, LCS solutions like the Silent Water, which is also adopted by ASUS and Sapphire and the brand of choice for the do-it-yourself kits under their BigWater series.
The problem with do-it-yourself kits is that for the average user they are somewhat complicated to assemble, as they have several different parts that need to be put together. All-in-one solutions provide a water-cooling kit that is far easier to install, as all main components – pump, radiator, fan and water tank – come already connected and ready to be installed. The only “extra” work is replacing the CPU cooler with a CPU block.

When it comes to selecting a headset , the choice is now more divers than ever. Do you want a pair that you can take with you and use with your portable audio player, as well as being plugged in for COD play? Are you an audiophile who won't compromise on sound quality, or is it VoIP that makes the mic the deciding factor when it comes to your choice?
There's also the complication of whether to have a headset that works over USB as a secondary soundcard versus just having a couple of audio jacks on the end for dedicated soundcard use ?.

Sennheiser is a brand well known for audiophile-quality gear. While the company has a reputation for high-end audio-only products, it's now branching out into things like computer headsets. Even in this area, it's looking to make its products the best of the best.
The Sennheiser PC161 retails for around € 80, putting it right against the SteelSeries 5H which has previously reviewed and loved, saying that "It acquits itself very well in games and in VoIP scenarios, especially given the strong bass response and the excellent quality of the microphone".
The 5H sells for around € 70, so how does this Sennheiser set measure up? |

Recordable DVD Quality
What is good quality media? which media is best for my writer? Why does a media not record well time after time on my writer?
Quite often it can be something as simple as a writer preferring DVD-R over DVD+R or just liking a particular brand of media better than others. Sometimes due to batch variance some discs can record at faster than rated speeds while the next disc won't. Sometimes the recording software, system setup or writer used can take the blame but more often it is a media issue.

With the era of flash memory upon us, flash drives are one of hottest selling items on the market. Flash drives like Verbatim, Emtec or Memorex product lines offer high speed data storage for an affordable price and the size of a key chain. These are perfect for gifts and it doesn't matter if the receiver of the gift already has a flash drive, because one can not have too many flash drives laying around since each flash drive can have its own purpose. This is exactly what has been realized and how they are marketing their U3 series.
